Chief Sealth High School Jazz Band

Led by Director of Bands Joey Roberts (Jazz 1) and Dave Niimi (Jazz 2), our Jazz program features an advanced and intermediate group as well as multiple Jazz combos. Recent awards include the 2026 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Winner and Runner up for Instrumental Combo, Runner up for Large Instrumental Ensemble, and Runner up for the Avista Scholarship Solo Instrumental Award. Our award winning student Jazz groups perform at multiple concert series, holiday special group shows, seasonal arts showcases, and the annual Lionel Hampton Jazz festival. Chief Sealth Jazz is quickly becoming the premier School Jazz Program in the Pacific Northwest. We are proud to support this award winning program.
