Little Shop of Horrors

a musical by Howard Ashman

Little Shop of Horrors is a dreadful comedy full of humor, love, music, and murder. It tells the story of an alien plant that arrives on Earth and gets picked up by florist and botanist Seymour Krelborn. After some give and take with the plant, given the name Audrey 2, Seymour discovers its true nature: A flytrap hybrid that eats blood as a form of nutrition.

Little Shop of Horrors has a 1986 film adaptation which is regarded as a cult classic making its way into pop culture references and long-lasting recognizability.

“As a new director, it has been such a fun and encouraging learning experience to see so many students and staff come together for the creative process of this show. With each rehearsal and set day, you can see how every student grows and brings the scene to life, through singing, dancing, and artistic expression. I'm ecstatic to present this show to the community and know our students and staffs hard-work will shine through for an excellent showing of this gruesome, comedic, musical”
